Ashik has over 12 years of insurance underwriting, insurance broking and relationship management experience. Prior to starting Vanguard Insurance Brokers originally as the Director in 2022 he was a Senior Insurance Broker at Crombie Lockwood Insurance Brokers for 7 years.
During his broking career Ashik has built strong relationships in the commercial and residential sectors in understanding and mitigating business and domestic risks. He has also managed ANZ bank relationship during these 7 years assisting new and existing ANZ customers seeking the best cover to make sure their insurance programs best suited their business and lifestyle continuity plan.
During his underwriting career he has worked for New Zealand's major insurers and was responsible for managing broking business partner relationships for NZI, Vero & QBE insurances. While at NZI insurance he also did insurance underwriting for ASB, BNZ and AMI customers.
Ashik has knowledge in all areas of Commercial risks, Domestic risks, Marine Insurances, Construction and Cyber risk management and mitigation. He believes that everybody is important and everybody’s insurance is important so his aim to remind everybody they matter, hence he started Vanguard Insurance Brokers to share his knowledge and experience with his clients so they can focus on their business and life style, while he manages the insurance stress.
